End of Year Special! | Verde Sal

Hey everyone, it's Verde Sal here. Because 2016 is coming to end, I have decided to make a special post. Today I have two new igloos, and a video. First, I have a Chuck E. Cheese's (or arcade + pizza restaurant). Take a look:

Chuck E. Cheese's by Verde Sal

This igloo features:

-Seating

This next igloo is Rainforest Cafe, a rainforest-decorated restaurant. (I have seen them at two different Disneyland resorts, but I believe they have other locations as well). Take a look:

To improve, I think some reindeers would be nice outside and perhaps some walls to create a lodge type building front.

Winter House in the Mountains | Allsmiles

Hi, hello, long time no post (oops). I'm back and posting, presumably for the winter break time being :)

So, as you can probably tell, I've made a winter house in the mountains:

This Igloo Includes:

• A two-storey house
• Snowy yard & small flower gardens
• Little icy areas off to the sides
• Various trees and nature items

I hope you all like this igloo! Feel free to leave any suggestions/critiques/opinions in a comment, I'd find that very helpful! I do also plan on posting at least one new igloo by the end of next week, so keep an eye out for that. (And apologies for being inactive)

Outdoor Christmas Mall by Verde Sal

Hey everyone, it's Verde Sal here. Today I have a new holiday igloo, an Outdoor Christmas Mall. Take a look:

I would have loved an extra 10-15 items to add more detail to this igloo (more detail on the shops, some presents or something under the tree, etc), but I ran out of item space rather quickly. I switched the flooring to Wooden Walks, which gave me a little more item space. I also added windows to the lower shops, clothes racks to the upper shops, and some presents under the tree. This is the nineteenth igloo in my Igloo Remakes series and also another edition to the Winter Igloo Showcase. I've seen many Ice Rink igloos on this blog and they're all quite good. Mine is slightly different though as it takes place indoors. I also wanted to created 2 rinks so the venue is multi-functional!

I really enjoyed creating this bakery, because I got some inspiration from my own Starbucks igloo. I'm so excited for Christmas so that means I'll be spamming winter/Christmas igloos. Anyway, please leave any suggestions for improving.

It's been a while since I've made a full on outdoor/nature igloo and I had the idea of doing a Hidden Lake -- this is the result! The Lake is hidden by high grass and rocks but is accessible by entering the caves and exiting through the other side.  With this igloo, I used the birdbox items which I haven't used before. It was pretty neat trying to incorporate these.

For the second Winter Igloo Showcase igloo, Jess0436 has "Santa's Workshop". I like how there are many different sections each with their own little details. To improve, I would use more of a colour scheme and the same flooring through out (perhaps the Wooden Walk).

For the first Winter Igloo Showcase igloo, Harry7793 has made what he calls "a mixture between a private property and a wilderness during the winter" or a Winter Garden for short 😉. I like the sledging section in the left and the areas of a green to compliment the snow/ice. To improve, I would add some more details in the areas just above the river, perhaps more greenery?

WINTER IGLOO SHOWCASE [ENTER NOW]

WINTER IGLOO SHOWCASE [ENTRIES]

This December, the Winter Igloo Showcase is back!! Remember this is NOT a contest so there will be no winner, this is about dislaying your creations! You can make whatever igloo you want, as long as it is related to Winter or Christmas. The best igloos will be displayed in the lead up to Christmas to get into the festive spirit.

This is a great opportunity to get creative and get featured on the blog! There are a few changed this year in comparison to last year. Firstly, there is no due date, once you have finished your igloo, it may be posted on the same day -- just make sure that the igloo is finished before December 25th. Also, igloos found on Cp will be featured if there is a winter theme, so that as many igloos as possible can be featured.

Igloo Discoveries #126 : Zannapinky's igloo

Town igloo by Zannapinky!

This igloo includes :

I love the apartments that Zannapinky made for this igloo. I also liked how she didn't decorate the interior of the apartments but decorated the interior of a house in the same igloo to show us what the apartments could look like without overcrowding the igloo! To improve, maybe add a lake or some greenery around the bottom to get ride of a bit of the thick black path.

When making my Area 51 igloo, I made a small lab and from making this, I was inspired to make a full Labatory igloo and as a result, this igloo was created. I like the layout of this igloo as, in my opinion, there is something scientific happening in each space and the igloo doesn't feel too full or too empty.
