S2E4 - London Landmarks - BY JOEY

Hello how are you all on this fine september evening well my last post was 2 weeks ago so I'm due a post. This time it's some landmarks from London, see:
Note: Item limit being reached is my excuse for having no phone boxes. This igloo isn't my best and London isn't really like this in reality (with Wesminster being on the other side of the Thames) but it makes for good showing off some of the more creative elements, such as:

  • Houses of Parliament including Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower)
  • A taxi that looks messed up due to THE STUPID PLACING OF ANCIENT BENCHES I MADE
  • The River Thames
  • The London Eye, a huge ferris wheel
lol thats it bad ik but rate in the comments and give suggestions for more igloo ideas (also lil should make harrods into an igloo). Bye for now

Rideau Canal

Hi everyone! I'm back with an igloo I've been wanting to do for quite a while. This is my Rideau Canal! The Rideau Canal is a river located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is 202 kilometres in length. I made two versions of this igloo and you guys could vote down in the comments to see which is better.

First Version:
Second Version:

Ok so here they are! Of course you can see a big difference in both of these. One has more warm colors and the other has more cold colors. Feel free to rate both igloos and vote which one you think is better. Thanks. Bye!

Goodbye from Rem!

If you didn't know. Rem has become inactive lately and has decided to give up igloo making. He was removed from the blog earlier this week but wants to share a message for you guys...

Goodbye Rem! We also wish you the best on your journey.

Tea Party | BLACKMIST100

Hey guys. I'm back with another igloo - a Tea Party.

My personal favorite parts of the igloo include the fountain and the tea/cupcakes. What do you think about this igloo?

*I promise there will not be a month-long wait between this igloo and the next this time.

Is he back?

Yes,
The rumors are true
The legend,
the netski lord,
the igloo king,
is back.
No more tears my friend.
There are finally some good igloos coming to the blog again!

Jk every single igloo on this blog is amazing

I'm glad to return on the 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of this amazing blog!
I'd like to thank all the authors/past authors for keeping this blog alive.
Cya soon!

1 Year Anniversary!

Today is the 26th September. This is a very special day because exactly 1 year ago, this blog was first created! In this post I'm going to be honouring everything special that happened in the last year, let's begin!

First Post

On the 26th September 2013, the first post here on the blog was posted by me. It's nothing special but it's still worth mentioning! Check it out here

First Igloo Posted

The first igloo posted on this blog was actually 2 igloos! 3 days later, I debuted the first look at my Family House igloo from the first season of Buy Our House. The interior for this set of igloos is actually my favourite to date from Buy Our House. I loved the family vibes and modern look to it overall. Check it out here

First Author

Although I, myself could be considered an author, I'm more of an admin as well as an author. This means that the first author on this blog was actually RemOnCp! Unfortunately, Rem didn't quite make it to the 1 year mark, leaving us earlier this month. Check his introduction out here

First Commenter

The first commenter was actually on the same post as Rem's introduction! The first commenter is Marioparty55 and here is is comment :

1000 Blog Views
On the 21st October 2013, we reached the 1000 blog views milestone. Only recently we received 100,000 blog views which is 100x as many. I often refer to blog views as 'hits' haha. Check out the post here

First Author To Leave

Shyxtina was the first author to leave. His departure was never officially announced on the blog by himself so I don't have a post to share with you. However, if you want to see some of his igloos, you can check out his channel here

Flash forward to 2014...

50,000 Blog Views

On the 1st June 2014, we reached 50,000 blog views! From the 50,000 mark, I began making posters for every 10,000 views we reached until 100,000. This post has a few interesting comments because Milbo and Joey were both talking about events which happened in this month... joey called it! Check out the post here

First Blog Party

On Sunday 10th August we held out first party as a blog to celebrate all of the recent achievements! The party was primarily set in my Nightclub igloo. Check it out here

100,000 Blog Views

Like Joey predicted, in the month of September we reached 100,000 blog views! I was really hoping to reach this goal by our 1 year anniversary and we did! This was a massive achievement for me. I'm so happy people continue to support us, even after 1 year :) Check out the post here

1 Year Anniversary

This brings us to 1 year on and we have reached our 1 year anniversary. Thanks to everyone who has supported us. Now let's roll on the thank you messages...

Authors :
- Thanks so much for helping out on our long journey. There have been highs and lows but you are the people that really bring something special to the blog. Your igloo making diversity brings something unique and original to present. All of you do! From past authors, to present authors and even future authors, without you and your support, the blog wouldn't be near half as successful. I want to thank everyone individually.

Thank you past authors!
Shyxtina, Willhopper, Ryanz Cp, Flipperjay13, Mikesta, Sofia Cp, Bubblesducky, RemOnCp, Baby Mariods, Netsky Cp

Thank you present authors!
Alex1941, Lildudee10, Robbery Cp, Cara On Cp, Jjoeyxx CP, Luna1210, Blackmistcp, Ellie CP, Ally Cp

Readers :
- Not only thanks to the authors, but also anyone reading this! Thank you for coming and visiting this blog, we really appreciate it. Whether your a new reader, occasional reader or perhaps an older reader, thank you! We will continue to inspire you with creative ideas so that you can continue your journey and become something amazing. Some lucky readers even got the chance to become an author, actually most of them got known by commenting on posts every so often :)

And that just about wraps up the anniversary post! I would also like to share all of the other authors thank you posts :

Thank you

Happy Birthday!

As you probably already know, today is the blog's 1-year anniversary! I am glad to have been part of the 1-year for 3 months.

As for those who have been here since the very beginning, an extra THANK YOU for sticking around & keeping the blog going. Biggest THANKS to the viewers who continue to read and be inspired by our igloo ideas.

#FlashbackFriday to when the blog was just starting up!

Once again, Happy Birthday to the Blog!

-Blackmist100

P.S. Sorry I have not been posting any igloos lately. I've been busy with school, friends, and... life. I WAS going to post an igloo today, but I did not want to ruin the celebration or anything with some random igloo from me, haha. I'll post it tomorrow, watch out for my post!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Blog! From Lildudee10♥

Hey guys!

It's Lil and today it is the blogs one year anniversary/birthday :D

I couldn't think of a good tribute to the blog like some of the other authors, but instead I just decided I'd make something simple, basic and something that practically most people could make pretty easily, also I couldn't really express how happy I am in any type or form of igloo:

Too Basic?
So here it is, it's not much but I feel like I could say something about this igloo:

We all started with this igloo type/base.
Every igloo maker starts with this basic igloo, new or old, and we all started here.
In igloos we can be creative and let our imagination go free (with the limits of 99 items lol).
Some igloos may be neater or more colorful or have a great layout but if we can put a few items down in an igloo we can create amazing things and each igloo is unique and different - meaning it is special and great in it's own way because it was made by YOU. If people don't like it who cares? Because if you like it and believe in yourself then that means it's perfect the way it is because you're the one who made it and you are a wonderful creator for this :) If you don't believe in yourself it will be hard to improve or develop so don't put yourself down.

Every igloo maker starts with the basic igloo layout, so believe in yourself and you can develop so much, and this blog has helped me do that! Just to get an example, this was my first ever igloo I made (an accurate recreation). I'm sure all of the other authors first igloos weren't as amazing as they are now too, believe me. So, let this post inspire you if it can and go create igloos if that's what you love! Have fun with it and be yourself♥
My first ever igloo recreation (2009 flashback lol)
It was a 'cafe and hotel'....
I even wore my 2009 clothing ;)

If your igloo looks like this, there is hope -
expectation for igloos are way too high these days.

Happy Birthday Blog!
There's nothing an igloo maker loves more than seeing people enjoying themselves in an igloo or even liking the igloo so don't forget to spread the love.

Thank you viewers for believing in us and coming to the blog and congratulations to Harry too because he has created and developed the blog to be an absolutely amazing place and from this blog I have met some amazing people who are like a family to me <3. Thanks for letting us showcase our igloos here it's a fantastic opportunity  :D I am so grateful to be here with the other authors/ amazing friends.

I can't wait to see what this year brings and I hope I get to still tag along for the ride for most or all of it :) So viewers and authors (new, old and past).....

Congrats Everyone!♥
If we could all group hug right now then we totally would :P

(>^_^)> <(^.^<)

Tudor House Igloo (Interior & Exterior) by Harry Cp

Hey everyone! I've been very busy lately but have still managed to make some more igloos for you, today I present my Tudor House which will feature in an upcoming Buy Our House episode. If you don't know what a Tudor House is, I'll leave some links at the end of the post so you can check them out, it's basically a house where the exteior is made up of black and white stripes and designs (there are so many near where I live, in fact my nearest town is probably famous for them!). Here are the exteior and interior for the house :

Tudor House Exterior
 This igloo includes :
  • Street lights
  • Tudor House
  • Scenery
  • Benches
Tudor House Interior
This Igloo Includes :
  • Entrance
  • x2 Bedrooms (Parents, 2 Kids)
  • Grandfather clock
  • Open dining room
  • Kitchen
  • Study
  • Family Room
I did face a massive hit with item limit because as you can tell, the first igloo doesn't use the whole igloo space. The item limit came very early on due to the fine details a Tudor House has. The second igloo faced another item limit problem ; in order to make certain elements like the bedroom seem more elegant, I used smaller items for more detail but this lead to item limit.

Anyway, I'm very interested to find out what you think about this igloo so as always please leave a rating /10 and any helpful suggestions you might have in order to improve the igloo :)

As promised, here are some Tudor Buildings :

Market Igloos by Lildudee10

Hey Guys!

I wasn't planning to post these igloos yet, but turns out my sister didn't make an igloo for this week, so I decided I'd post my marketplace igloos!

I spent many hours, 7 attempts and a lot of thought into the design of these igloos and I couldn't seem to get them right, but I'll be showing you my two favourite versions of the igloos I made. These markets are very similar to most of the igloos I make, such as the Riverside Plaza Park :)

Market One:
This first market igloo is the original market I made, It includes:
  • Four market stalls (bags, potions, sports and plants).
  • Four background shops
  • Open cooking area
  • Small river
  • Cityscape background
Lildudee10's Market Place v.1

Market Two:
My second market igloo is the sixth or seventh version of the marketplace igloos I made, and probably my favourite. It reminds me of my riverside plaza park, so I called it a riverside market place. I prefer it as it is more spacious, lest cramped and neater. It includes....

  • Four stalls (plants, sports, bags/gifts and music).
  • Four background shops
  • Small cooking space
  • Cityscape background
  • Large river and spacious deck area
  • Two split level layout
Lildudee10's Marketplace v.2

Which market do you prefer? What would you rate each of them?
Thanks for reading! I hope you liked my Market igloos :)
Cya (maybe) on the 26th of September (the blogs anniversary) for a special post!

~Lil

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sidenotes:
Happy One Year anniversary to the blog on the 26th!
I should be back for a special post on Friday or Saturday :)
Hopefully my sister will make an igloo for next weeks post too.
Hope you're having a great day! ☺

Goodbye from Baby Mariods

Yeah... one of these again... hopefully for the last time...

Thing is... I would have quit igloo making a long time ago and I only go on CP to make igloos now tbh. If it wasn't for the voice in my head telling me to make igloos I wouldn't be here.

I'm quitting this blog. The reason shall not be said so for my last igloo on the blog, I present the igloo that started it all... back when there were no good items. It was really hard to make even a decent igloo...

So yeah, thanks for having me Harry. I almost made it to the one year mark!

If any of you see me on CP I will be happy to see you :)
This is my last post so yet again thank you guys... and....

OBJECTION!

Paris on the Seine by Ellie

Hey everyone, hope you're all enjoying your week

Today I'd like to show you my latest creation: Paris on the Seine
I've always wanted to make a Paris igloo, so I'm excited to show this one to you today

As you can see, it's on a bit of a different angle. I wanted to give the point of view as if you were looking across the river to the other side. It's inspired by something like this.

This igloo includes:
  • A promenade
  • A book shop
  • Outdoor platform for street performers
  • A cafe
  • A bridge
  • Access to the Seine/lower portion of the street

Hope you enjoy! Please rate out of 10 in the comments below!

Also, an [early] congratulations to everyone here on the blog for our one year anniversary! Great job everyone!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary To The Blog!

Hi everyone, Cara here (shocker right) and today I'm going to appreciate the people around this blog.

To start off,
Thank you Harry so so much for making me apart of this blog, I've made so many new friends from this blog & I didn't even know I would have great friends like you & the other members of this blog.
Thank you for those people around the world for viewing Harry's blog, he really appreciate's it & even though I'm not active, I love seeing the numbers going up for how many views this blog has, it's an honor being apart of this blog.
Thank you Mist, Rob, Alex, Alley, Mario, Ellie, Harry, Rob, Luna, Lil, Rem, Net & Joey for making me feel so welcome & helping me fix my mistakes for my igloos. I love all of you so so much, I don't really know what I'd do without you.
"I'd go cry in a corner for days."  Ok jk lol.
Also, thank you for the past authors that have been on this blog, you were a great addition to our blog.
Again, I'm so so grateful I'm apart of a blog with my best friends & again, thank you so much Harry for making me apart of this blog.

Now onto something I should say:

I'm so sorry I haven't been on, I'm being dumb not posting when I should've, but I still love all of you blog viewers so much!
Not to sound needy at all but can you guys comment some igloo ideas? My mind has gone blank of igloo ideas (I was making a poor village earlier, but it failed).

I hope this brought a smile to everyone's face, I actually appreciate being here and seeing how to improve my igloos!
I love you all so so much, don't forget that ok. :)

BLOG TRIBUTE - by Joey

Good day this Friday marks a special event! The 1-year anniversary of the blog! On 26th September, 2013, the first post was written by the admin Harry Cp who has stayed through it all. We've been through 100k views, 15+ authors and 630 posts, so here is my tribute - lame flags of thank you!

THANKS TO MIST, CARA, ROB, ALEX, ELLIE, REM AND THE REST OF AMERICA - WHO HAVE SUPPLIED OVER HALF THE BLOGS VIEWS!

THANK YOU TO LIL, HARRY AND THE REST OF ENGLAND FOR YOUR BRITISH SUPPORT AND TEA!

THANKS A LOT TO MYSELF JOEY AND ANYONE ELSE FROM NORTHERN IRELAND FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION!

DANK JE WEL TO NETSKY (on a break) AND THE REST OF YOUR BELGIAN FRIENDS FOR YOUR LOVE AND WAFFLES!

OBRIGADO TO MELANIE AND THE REST OF PORTUGAL FOR KEEPING UP WITH THE COMMUNITY!

شكرا
TO MARIO AND ALL OF KUWAIT FOR THE GOODNESS YOU GIVE
That's all I have to say so thank you I hope we can continue to prosper and make our (and your) igloos shine! Bye for now :3 - Joey

Flag Igloos : Taegukgi (South Korea Flag)

Woohoo It's Satuday! Continuing the finale of Igloo Ideas [S3], here is the 3rd Flag Igloo. It is the Flag of South Korea, also known as the Taegukgi. This flag was harder than the previous flag because of it's curved shapes in the middle. Also, the Taegukgi has 4 a symbol in each corner of it's flag and I have had to simplify the shape for it to work in puffle beds. Since CP doesn't make black puffle beds, I've used brown (the next darkest colour) to represent the black symbols. Take a look :

Taegukgi (Flag of South Korea)
This Flag Uses :
  • Blue Puffle Beds
  • White Puffle Beds
  • Red Puffle Beds
  • Brown Puffle Beds
As you can see I decided to create a picture out of the igloo to show the igloo inside a flag layout with the real flag for the country in the corner.

I'm quite proud at how it turned out but what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Igloo Discoveries #49 : Freezepop's igloo

Hey everyone! Today I came across Freezepop's igloo on Club Penguin and really wanted to share it with you all, take a look :

I'm not completely sure what the igloo is but my top guesses are a 'Zombie Survival', 'Radioactive Area' or a 'Toxic Wasteland'. I love how the whole igloo space was decorated and how there was a dark colour scheme of green and brown

What do you think of this igloo? Let me know in the comments by leaving a rating /10 and any helpful suggestions so that Freezepop can improve this igloo.

Great igloo Freezepop :)

Rockhopper's Boat Rides

Hi guys! Today I show you an igloo called Rockhopper's Boat Rides. This igloo was actually inspired by Harry and his River Rides igloo. I tried making mine with a little twist by adding the Rockhopper themed items. You wouldn't believe the struggles I had trying to make the Jungle Ferns a different color. I thought the different colored ones was other items and I spent about an hour looking for the ID. I had no idea you just had to press the arrow keys. Anywho, enough with my story. Here's the igloo:

Freepenguin wasn't working the time I was making this igloo. This whole igloo was different in my head. I imagined the space would be a whole lot bigger. Things didn't work out but I still think this igloo is pretty good. As always, feel free to post your rating in the comments below. Have a super awesome splendid terrific fantastic day! Bye!

Hey guys it's Mel. Since my absence, the blog reached a massive achievement and I wanted to personally congratulate us on reaching...

I know I didn't do much to benefit the blog, and that I should have done anything to benefit it, but I'm trying my best and there will be a week-to-week post coming from me.

I wanna give a special thanks to our viewers, who after all, kept coming to this blog and showed their interest on the blog.

And congratulations to Harry who's a great owner, and the brilliant authors Cara, Mario, Lil, Alex, Mist, Ellie, Alley, Rob, Rem, Net and Joey. You guys really made this blog special. This blog finally got what it deserves.

We did it. And that shows that we're special and we've gone through everything. Today, this blog is remarkable, and without YOU, it wouldn't exist.

Cornwall inspired Cottage on the River

Hey guys!!

Lil here and today I have a brand new igloo to present to you :)
Today's igloo is inspired by a place I visited while on a family holiday to Cornwall. I can't find a picture of the actual place but it was a really pretty and old cottage based on a river with lots of scenery.

I thought I'd put some of the detailing and main features of the place in the igloo, as well as some exaggerated features to make it seem more pretty and colorful.

Cottage by the River by Lildudee10
This igloo features:
  • Small Cottage area
  • Fruit patch
  • Two cabins for fishing or afternoon chilling out
  • Deck area with benches
  • River
Sadly, I would have liked the add more details but 99 items caused me to be unable to do this.  But I'm still quite proud of this igloo :)

Don't forget to rate the igloo or leave any comments or suggestions below .
Thanks for reading!

-Lil
