Hi there so unless you haven't watched TV this week you'll know that Scotland is having a referendum where the public get to vote if Scotland should be independent from the United Kingdom. I'm not Scottish but it would still affect life over here in Northern Ireland so it's a pretty big deal. In honour of this historic event I made an igloo featuring one of Scotland's most well known places - Loch Ness, the 4th largest lake in the UK in terms of area and the largest in terms of volume. Check it out:
It features:
- Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster
- the surrounding Highland Mountains
- Urquhart castle ruins
- a boat ride
- a nature reserve
Not my best igloo, but I gave it a shot. What do you think of the igloo? Are you Scottish, and if so, does it match up? Leave a comment with your thoughts and ratings. Bye for now :3
-Joey
P.S. please vote yes
+That's one creative way to make the loch ness monster
ReplyDelete+Love the surrounding rocks/castle thing
-Don't really like the flowery bit
SCORE --- 9/10
Thank you for your rating
DeletePositive:
ReplyDeleteI really like the surrounding rocks like mist said and as well as the loch ness monster, so props to you for that!
Negative (-1 point):
Not a big fan of the flowers either and you could of used a better inner tube because that one ruins a lot of igloos...
Overall rating: 9/10
Thank you for your rating. I'm getting cons for the flower area and I agree it does not fit in and is sloppy.
Deleteso creative !
ReplyDeletethank you but the rating is missing
DeleteWow! I really like this igloo Joey. You even included details such as the castle which I think is great. It's very creative and I kinda liked the flower area but it was a bit sloppy. Other than that - 9.5/10 :)
ReplyDeleteThank you lol so much hate on the flower area
DeleteWoahhh Joey, the Loch Ness Monster was so creative! Like Lil said, including a castle was a nice feature as well as using varies rocks. The only thing I can point out which is negative is the top left corner, a bit messy. Maybe get rid of the boardwalk and continue the path from the flower area.
ReplyDelete9/10
Thank you Harry For your rating
Deleteits amazing just i dont like how there is a water tube 9/10
ReplyDeleteThe tube is meant to be Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, known for the arches her body makes in the water.
DeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lochness monster, and the bit with the head peeping out :P
Also I vote no to make Scotland a Country because It will affect alot of stuff for it,
Like the UK flag has to change which changes another flag in England because if scotland does turn independent the Uk flag will look excatly like it so yea,
Also I think Scotland is too small to be a Country..
Anyways blady blady bla.
I dont like the flower bit and I think you should put sort of like a C shape of the ground because when i went there, it looked like tht a bit.
7/10
I don't understand what you mean by a C but thank you for your rating. As for your arguments against independence, the UK flag won't have to change unless an agreement can be reached if Scotland wants to change it. As for Scotland being too small, Scotland has lots of natural resources and has oil lol it's a stable developed country that I believe can cope on its own, A lot more countries are smaller than Scotland, including prosperous countries like Belgium and Switzerland. The issue of currency can be resolved eventually, because Scotland won't be independent immediately it will take until approximately 2017.
DeleteI love this igloo! The castle and the monster is really creative. Yes, the flowers are random, but I think this igloo deserves a 10/10.
ReplyDeleteWow thanks I thought the wooden walk area with the boats would get bad reviews but it's the flowers apparently
DeleteWow, I love this! As someone who has been there before, I have to say, you did a pretty good job replicating it. The surroundings are fantastic, and I love how you used the tubes to make Nessie haha. I have to agree with the others about the flowers, but overall, very well done. 9/10
ReplyDeleteThank you I didn't know you've been to Scotland.
DeleteIndeed I have! Multiple times, in fact. I've got family ties/lineage, and because my dad's the genealogist of the family we go every two years or so.
DeleteThat's awesome I get the ferry over occasionally (you can see Scotland if you go to the beach near me) and I go to Ayr and get a bus to the theme park.
DeleteOh wow, nice! I've never been to Ayr, but my parents have
DeleteI went when I was younger it's lovely
DeleteCreative Loch Ness Monster :D
ReplyDeletethank you that is where I got the idea for the igloo from experimenting with tubes
DeleteSuper Creative!! It could use some touch-ups. Like you could have made the monsters body and change the color scheme a little. Also, why did you use rock walls for mountains?
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!

o you have copyright I'll know for next time as for the igloo rock walls a commonly used item to represent mountains and they resemble the rocks surrounding the loch. The monsters body, if you search online, is rarely seen, as Nessie likes to hide but on the occasions when she is spotted it is most commonly found in arches, as her body is mainly comprised of a long serpentlike structure.
Deletehaha i remember my school trip to scotland and we went to loch ness :) i went like TIRSDNFGFNGIFIGUNUGNFI GONNA FIND THE LOCH NESS MONSTER! MWAHAHAHA
