Awh, Igloo Ideas [S3] is officially over. Below is the final episode in the season so make sure you watch it. This episode I decided to something different and made some igloo art, something that was made popular by igloo legend Alyssa570. I was still original though and created various flags from around the world, take a look :
You may notice that halfway through the episode, I actually reveal a sneak peek of Igloo Ideas [S4] which will be released in December/January! In the above episode I reveal the new logo and new season intro. Make sure you take a look.
CHALLENGE : After watching the video, leave a comment on the video and see if you can name all of the countries whose flags I made in the video.
EXTENDED CHALLENGE : If you are really clever, see if you can name the actual flags' name eg. French Flag = French Tricolour
NEW CP Reviewed post : HOW CP SHOULD IMPROVE THE IGLOO EDITING SYSTEM
Hey Harry! I'm back in the community officially now. I'd like to be added back onto the blog I have some igloo ideas to make
ReplyDelete1st flag: UK - Union Jack/Union Flag
ReplyDelete2nd flag: Ireland - Irish Tricolour
3rd flag: South Korea - Taegukgi/Taegeukgi
4th flag: Republic of Macedonia - The sun design is a simplified version of the Star of Vergina, which appeared on Macedonia's former national flag. Red has been a significant color throughout the history of Macedonian flags. The sun also represents "the new sun of liberty", which is mentioned in the country's national anthem, yet it doesn't have a name.
I hope I answered everything right :).
About the flags, they were really well done!
By the way, another challenge:
Delete1st flag meaning -It is officially known as the Union Flag. The flag is a blue field with the red cross of Saint George (patron saint of England) edged in white superimposed on the diagonal red cross of Saint Patrick (patron saint of Ireland), which is superimposed on the diagonal white cross of Saint Andrew (patron saint of Scotland).
2nd flag meaning-The green pale in the flag symbolises Irish republicanism dating back to the Society of United Irishmen in the 1790s. The orange represents the minority who were supporters of King William III, who was of the House of Orange and originally the Stadtholder of the Netherlands, had defeated King James II and his predominantly Irish Catholic army at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. His title came from the Principality of Orange in the south of France that had been a Protestant bastion from the 16th century. It was included in the Irish flag in an attempt to reconcile the Orange Order in Ireland with the Irish independence movement. The white in the centre signifies a lasting truce between the two cultures and a living together in peace. he flag, as a whole, is intended to symbolise the inclusion and hoped-for union of the people of different traditions on the island of Ireland, which is expressed in the Constitution as the entitlement of every person born in Ireland to be part of the independent Irish nation, regardless of ethnic origin, religion or political conviction. There are exceptions to the general beneficent theory. Green was also used as the colour of such Irish bodies as the mainly-Protestant and non-sectarian Friendly Brothers of St. Patrick, established in 1751.
3rd flag meaning- The white background is a traditional Korean color. It represents peace and purity. The circle in the middle is derived from the philosophy of yin and yang and represents the balance of the universe. The blue section represents the negative cosmic forces, and the red section represents the opposing positive cosmic forces. The trigrams together represent the principle of movement and harmony. Each trigram (hangul: kwae) represents one of the four classical elements.
This is the longest comment I've ever seen here.
