Hey guys, so today I found this really cool igloo (I know pretty rare right) it's a zoo igloo created by Rafer300. I've never heard of this guy before, so congrats on your first igloo discovery! Check out his igloo!

Summer Special! [Public Pool + Summer Gift Shop]

Hey guys! Today I'm back to having two igloos per post, this time it's a summer special edition. As the title suggests I have credited a public pool and summer gift shop. The first igloo is a public pool and includes three changing rooms, two showers, a ticket desk, a giant pool with diving section and four chairs. Hang ten!

The next igloo is a summer gift shop and was inspired by a souvenir shop I saw when I went to Orlando. What really took off the idea is Blackmist100's surf shop igloo. Anyways, it includes a surf simulator, two changing rooms, a beach ball display center piece, inflatables, and a check-out desk.

Back From Mini Hiatus

Hey guys!

So I am officially back from my mini hiatus as I am out of school now and have just returned from my vacation. I should be posting one more #TBT before resuming with current igloos, as I haven't had time to make one over the past 24hrs since I've been home. Stay tuned for Thursday's #TBT though -- as one of my first igloos, I must say it's probably my worst, and I'm looking forward to getting suggestions in the comments.

Speaking of which, as you know (if you read the initial post), when I finish my #TBT series I will be choosing which ones I want to remake. Originally I was going to do this based upon which post got the most comments/tips, but since practically no one commented, I'm probably going to change the approach. Please be sure to check them out and leave your improvement advice + whichever one you'd prefer me to remake.

UPDATE: Instead of doing it based upon number of comments on the post, I think it'd be better for you guys to vote instead, as Harry and Nirasha did below (thanks for the inspiration lmao). However, when you pick which one, be sure to include advice about how I could improve the original igloo if you haven't already done so on the original post. I think this will be easier... so make sure to comment below which one of the three I have already you'd like to see a remake of. Keep in mind, there will be another #TBT on Thursday of this week, so there will be another voting choice. I'll make a main voting post on Friday or Saturday, but feel free to brainstorm which one you'd like to see remade so far in the comments. Seems like you guys are leaning toward Castle Hill though, lmao.

What's The Deal With Copying?!

Hey everyone - something has been on my mind recently. I've noticed that it's become more and more common for average penguins to copy our igloos. Today, I was waddling around the island looking for igloos when I saw someone advertising a French Vacation Igloo. How original I thought, but once I got there I realized it was yet another instance when a penguin has copied one of our authors.

This is not the first time I have seen Harry's French Town been copied before either, what makes me especially aggravated about this last instance is that the igloo-maker seemed to be unaffected when I asked him about his igloo. Igloo copying is not a just a problem for the authors, I have seen users with 'popular igloos' been copied by someone else in hopes of gaining as much attention. Yes, I know some people lose inspiration and just want to gain likes easier, but no where do I think it is appropriate to copy someone's igloos. I know I spend at least an hour working on each of my igloos, and I'm sure it's the same way for my fellow authors.

I do appreciate users asking permission to recreate an igloo or even better use the igloo for inspiration for an igloo similar to the original with their own twist. I know it is hard to give credit when you are on Club Penguin, but I do think that you should acknowledge the original creator.

SO WHAT'S NEXT? If copying igloos is what the future of igloo-making will be, I am a bit worried about the future igloo community. As igloo makers we must continue to make original igloos by using innovations and ideas inspired by famous igloo makers (such as the blog's authors), but not necessarily copying. Feel free to start a discussion in the comment section about anything you've noticed regarding the issue or simply your own personal opinion. Keep editing on!

Igloo Discoveries #78 : Nicoray's igloo!

Hey everyone! My good friend Nicoray has been making igloos for a while and I really like his new igloo which appears to be a Beach Boardwalk. Take a look :

I think that the little beach homes could be neater. Perhaps add walls beside the windows and improve the interior. I also think that the puffle berry plants could be replaced and the pool inbetween the shops could be replaced.

Inactive for a few weeks & Goodbye to Lil!

I have some news. As Mel revealed last week, some of us are undergoing very serious exams at the moment. For me, I am taking my first batch of GCSE's a year early which includes Science, Maths and English. I need to put my FULL concentration on these exams as these are the grades you put on a CV to get a job. 

As a result, I will be inactive on this blog and on YouTube for a few weeks. Although I won't be uploading on YouTube, I have scheduled 4 posts so that you will still get some new igloos from me. I just won't be able to read and respond to comments as quickly as I would have liked.
