WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Round 4: Yard Sale - RECAP
Blackmist100 introduces the challenge.
This is a challenge I've always wanted to do since Season 3. Originally, we were going to give them a random item, but it ended up becoming a Yard Sale in Season 5. This tested how well the contestants can put emphasis on one item in particular and of course: how creative they can be.

(Fun Fact: This round was filmed in November 2014. Feels like yesterday, honestly).

I, myself, introduced the challenge this week. I told the Top 3 contestants to grab an item and bring it back to me. Originally, this was supposed to be timed so we could have some "first come-first serve" drama, but each of the contestants seemed to have picked their item while I was explaining the challenge. Oh well.

Unaired: As the Winner of Round 3, Ellie Cp had the opportunity to force another contestant to switch their item. To add some spice to the show, I guess WE should have forced her to utilize this power. But with this season's cast being oh-so-happy, it didn't happen.

Now, the Evaluation:

Ski Lodge by Alley
First up, Alley. Alright... she was either REALLY inspired by Netsky's Ski Resort from Season 4, or they just have really similar ideas. Either way, the igloo wasn't too great. The weathered paths were a bit questionable. I'm with Alex1941 and Victoria on this one: she used way too many of the same items. Many weathered paths, many logs, many trees, many sleds. Not her best.

Surf Beach by Verde Sal

Next up is Verde Sal. It was great to see him FINALLY step up. Had he made another poor igloo, we would have eliminated him. Luckily, this igloo wasn't poor. HOWEVER, I feel like I've seen this layout/concept a million times. The cool bar in the back and the small details on the beach helped out. The surfboards stood out right in your face, so that's a plus.

Trading Port by Ellie Cp
And finally, Ellie. Don't get me wrong, I actually really like this igloo. Definitely a really creative idea & well-thought out. However, she did a bad job in making her Potions Table stand out. Come on, putting it in the middle does nothing. Looks more like Rocks to me, like Victoria said. Speaking of Victoria, a 5/10 seemed a bit harsh, but I guess that's because she had trouble figuring out what Ellie's item was.

Not too much Lounge footage, unfortunately. But Ellie and Alley were nervous, as they should have been. Being in the bottom was not exactly a normal thing for Ellie. Alley hasn't been in the bottom since Round 1, where she was almost eliminated. Meanwhile, Verde Sal can finally sit in comfort, knowing that he scored much higher than the others.

And now, the results...

Verde Sal wins the Round.
Verde Sal finally manages to win a Round. This automatically places him in the Top 2!

That leaves us with Ellie and Alley. Haha, that fake elimination with Ellie was the best fake-out I've done, probably. She made it because her igloo was better and while her item was hard to pick out, she has done better than Alley for the most part.

Alley is eliminated. I decided to incorporate a sad montage because she was doing so well and then she just crash and burned in this challenge. Oh well.

The episode ends with Ellie greeting Verde Sal in the Lounge. The fight is on.

Next time...
Ellie Cp and Verde Sal channel their inner-Gary in a very innovative Final Round. Watch it FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13th on BCP.
